Meet the Pro
Our Director of Instruction, Derek Sauser, applies over 20 years of personal and professional experience as a golfer to truly develop players
in terms of enjoyment and performance. Using a personalized approach towards improving your golf game and video technology,
Derek’s instructions will all but guarantee strokes saved off your scorecard. While Derek wants each player to find success, he also wants
to see each of his students make their own swing better. As a shining example of success, our championship NASMGA team praises Derek
for taking them from contender to champion in an extremely competitive league.
Before becoming our Director of Instruction, Derek worked at numerous clubs, including Lake Nona Country Club, Isleworth Country Club, the Country Club of Orlando, and the Country Club of Asheville. It was at the Country Club of Orlando and the Country Club of Asheville
that Derek pursued his passion for teaching the game and strengthened his teaching disciplines and methods. Derek believes the game
of golf tends to be confusing and overcomplicated for even those who play it daily. He always has a vested interest in each student
willing to offer their time and will simplify the great game of golf for all his students.

Training Facility
The Fairways of Canton practice facility offers golfers the ability to practice on all areas of their game. Our practice green, located adjacent to our clubhouse, is equipped with multiple hole placements, varying in difficulty, as well as numerous chipping areas. Additionally, we have a second practice green for players looking to perfect their bunker play and improve their wedge shots. Aside from our practice greens, the Fairways of Canton’s state of the art driving range offers golfers a full layout of yardage targets, fairway-like hitting surfaces, and beautiful views that make improving your swing that much more fun!
